NSW: Premier Bob Carr to visit flood ravaged Lismore

New South Wales Premier BOB CARR visits flood-ravaged Lismore in the state's north today.

Mr CARR will meet with State Emergency Service volunteers, businesses and families
as the clean-up proceeds after the worst flooding in the district in 12 years.

More than 200 people were evacuated from the state's worst-hit town after the Wilson
River peaked at 10.4 metres on Friday.

A quarter of New South Wales has been affected by the floods or storms, prompting the
state government to declare much of the north a natural disaster area.
