Fed: Olympic flame arrives tomorrow amid security worries

The Olympic flame arrives in Canberra just after eight o'clock (AEST) this morning
for its only Australian run tomorrow.

Only hours ago .. a statement by Beijing's ambassador about the role of Chinese guards
accompanying the torch appeared to contradict the PM's stance that all security was in
the hands of Australian officials.

However .. ZHANG JUNSAI clarified his comment that chinese staff would protect the
flame with their bodies .. overnight.

He repeated KEVIN RUDD's line that the torch's security will be dealt with by Australian
authorities .. saying he had been misrepresented.
